The biggest European lightweight fight is official as the undefeated KSW champion Mateusz Gamrot (12-0, 4 KO, 3 Sub) takes on the UK’s number one lightweight Norman Parke (23-5-1, 4 KO, 12 Sub) at KSW 39: Colosseum on May 27th at Warsaw’s National Stadium.
30-year-old Northern Irelander is 2012 The Ultimate Fighter winner and the veteran of nine UFC fights. In his eleven-year MMA tenure Parke holds victories over Colin Fletcher, Kazuki Tokudome, Naoyuki Kotani and Reza Madadi to name a few. In his two most recent outings, the judo black belt outpointed two top fifteen UK lightweights: Andrew Fisher and Paul Redmond.
26-year-old wrestling machine from Ankos MMA Poznan is not only undefeated as a pro, but he has also never lost a single round on judges’ scorecards. In 2015 Gamrot won the vacant KSW lightweight belt, beating the former M-1 and BAMMA champion Mansour Barnaoui. Four months later “Gamer” submitted Brazilian Renato Gomes in his first title defense.
With 38 000 tickets sold, KSW Colosseum is already the biggest event in European MMA history and one of the biggest MMA stadium events ever. The tickets are still available on eBilet.pl.
